Choosing a therapist can feel like a big step, and it’s completely natural to feel unsure about where to start. With so many different approaches out there, it can be hard to know what will feel right for you.

What makes my approach different?

​If you’ve tried therapy before and felt it was a bit too structured, like you were just ticking off exercises or “homework,” or that you couldn’t really connect with your therapist, you’re definitely not alone.​

 

My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic styles and adapt sessions to suit you as an individual. My main priority as a therapist is that you feel heard, seen and genuinely understood. Everything else is a process... and we're in it together.

This might surprise you, but many hypnotherapists don’t have qualifications or experience working within mental health settings.

 

Alongside my higher education in psychology, I have almost a decade of hands-on experience working in the mental health sector — from working in psychiatric units to managing a wellbeing & recovery centre. This has given me practical experience supporting people with a wide range of emotional and psychological needs.

 

Trauma-informed practice

​I am trained as a trauma-informed practitioner and trainer, which means I work with a deep awareness of how past experiences can shape thoughts, feelings, and relationships.

 

In my work, I teach principles of nervous system regulation and elements of polyvagal-informed practice, helping you to support yourself towards a sense of safety, grounding, and emotional regulation in and out of sessions.
